Role Overview
PostShift AI is seeking a Technical Sales Lead to drive enterprise PostgreSQL migration opportunities across global markets. This role bridges commercial sales and deep technical credibility, leading solution design, discovery engagements and executive technical positioning.
You will work closely with hyperscaler partners (Microsoft, AWS, Google), EnterpriseDB and strategic clients to convert complex database modernisation opportunities into signed migration programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and migration assessments
- Translate Oracle / SQL Server environments into PostgreSQL solution architectures
- Present technical strategy to CIO, CTO and enterprise architecture teams
- Build migration roadmaps, ROI/TCO models and PoC/PoV proposals
- Support partner co-sell engagements
- Define scope, effort and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to execution
Commercial Focus
- Convert qualified opportunities into enterprise migration contracts
- Increase average deal size through technical credibility
- Accelerate sales cycles via structured technical validation
- Support expansion into managed services and AI enablement
Ideal Profile
- 7–15+ years in enterprise database, cloud or infrastructure sales engineering
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Experience in migration, interoperability or modernisation projects
- Comfortable presenting at board and C-level
- Commercially aware, outcome-driven and execution-focused
